BIODUR® Red-Pigment (AC05) For the dyeing of silicone rubber and epoxy resins in
contrast portrayal of vessels.
Recommended Dosage: 2% (w/w) of the
polymer mixture.
BIODUR® Red AC 10 (AC10) For the dyeing of macroscopic specimens in formalin
solutions or in acetone. Color: pastel pink. Dosage: 10
mL Red AC10 to 20 L of dyeing solution. Repeated use
of the dyeing solution is possible.
BIODUR® Dye Pastes (AC50, AC52 – AC55)
For the dyeing of epoxy resin and silicone rubber. Even
after silicone impregnation and curing, specimens
(e.g., fish) can be painted by using a mixture of silicone,
dye paste (2%) and the adhesion mediator AS70. If necessary, the dyed polymer mixture can be
diluted with solvents such as an identical volume of
methyl ethyl ketone (AM11) or methylene chloride.
BIODUR® Plasticizer AE 10 (AE10) For the epoxy resins E 12/E 1, E 12/E 6, and E 20/E 2.
The recommended addition of AE 10 to epoxy resin is
up to 20 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight.
BIODUR® Glass-Separator AE 30 (AE30) For the separation of the cured specimen from the
glass walls of the flat chamber when using the E 12
method. Dosage: 5% by weight (➔ Overview BIODUR® Polymers).
Store in a cool place (+5 °C; +40 °F).
BIODUR® MEK (Methyl Ethyl Ketone) (AM11) Temporary solvent for the basic mixture of E 20/E 2
for vessel injection and for dyed polymer mixtures for
surface treatments. Lowers viscosity and prolongs the
processing time of polymer mixtures.
BIODUR® Adhesion Mediator AS 70 (AS70) For the surface treatment of cured silicone-impregnated
specimens prior to coating with dyed or colorless
silicone rubber.
